Burlesque... This category is self explanatory. Murray Korman got his start with the famous Ziegfeld Folies and photographed any and every up and coming Broadway star and many ladies who simply desired the fame and fortune of Broadway. Many of his subjects chose the racier side of entertainment as a potential path to stardom. The most notable name in these category is Gypsy Rose Lee (the first of the images below.)
